I just ran across a blog in which someone had taken a personality test. I clicked the link and followed it and took my own test. I have taken several personality tests in Psych classes, etc., and I think I may have taken this one before. Many are too rigid to give a remotely accurate description of something as complex as personality. This one, in my opinion, is a pretty fair analysis of personality-- even though I don't believe that any of them are remotely close to a complete representation of personality. That is pretty much impossible. For example, I am not nearly as impulsive as this test says my personality type is. That's just one example. But again, overall it is a good representation.
Since I still can't get lots of things to work on my blog because of my ancient computer, and I don't exactly understand how to insert them without the functions, I will just give you the web address: http://www.mypersonality.info/
Here is my personality type, according to this test. I am The Artist, an ISFP, which stands for Introverted Sensing Feeling Perceiving. You can read about it on the sight if you want to know more.
Some things I found very interesting were the careers associated with my personality type. Here are some of them:
Administrative Assistant (done that)
Artist
Carpenter
Chef (at home--I could see myself doing it as a career)
Child Care (done that)
Clerical Supervisor (that too)
Composer
Counselor (hmmm..)
Dental Staff
Designer
Early Childhood Development (Yep)
Editor
Forest Ranger
Homemaker (Helloooo)
Librarian
Mechanic
Medical Staff
Musician (sort of)
Naturalist
Nurse
Pediatrician (don't make me laugh! As if I could go there again!)
Church Worker (done that too)
Personal Service Worker (say what?)
Physical Therapist
Psychologyst (again, hmm....)
Social Worker
Teacher
Technical Specialist
Trainer
Veterinarian
Waitress (yep again)
Writer (um, duh)
X-Ray Tech
Ok, it's just creepy how many of those things I've done or contemplated doing.
In doing some reasearch about ISFPs, I discovered that they are very often mistaken for extroverts because they like to chat and/or discuss ideas. Can I just tell you, MY WHOLE LIFE! People make assumptions after getting to know one just a little bit, without actually getting to know one. I'm just sayin'......
So tell me about you. What's your type?

I need to take a personality test, but first, I need to help the kids finish school, finish my own homework, and catch up on my Bible Study. :) I'll get back to you...
